Brake pads

Need to know what that thing is in the engine compartment? Not sure what wire goes where? This is the place to be.

Brake pads

Postby Shredy666 on Wed Jul 28, 2010 11:25 am

Hey guys!

I need to replace my brake pads and I was wondering, which ones do you recommend?

I already heard the name Wagner Thermo Quiets, but I'm getting mixed reviews on them. Just to make it clear, I've got the WS6 system, so brake discs all around!

I would really appreciate the advice!

Thanks guys!

What negative have you heard about them? I installed a set of these on a customers truck and he loves them. For what he paid for them versus run of the mill pads, I don't see what could be negative. Wagner is a great brand, and these are considered the better line of pads for them.

Thanks Rip,

a friend of mine said that they were a bit too much. When he installed them, 2 months later he had 2 cracks in his discs. I think I will give them a try though! They sound good from what I've read about them on the internet and I can get an awesome deal at the moment! Thanks Rip!

He had cracks in his rotors????? Something either wasn't done right, or he drove it through water after getting the brakes hot. It takes alot to crack the rotors.

I wouldn't count out the possibility that he screwed up on his end either :P. He's a great guy but sometimes he's a bit.....off-ish :P. Thanks Rip! I'll look into these pads :).
